Ciao Milano

October 07, 2016

Milano, Italia, a very special place in my heart,
one of my several 'second homes' where I spent the latter half of 2015.
Although not recognized as being aesthetically beautiful or historically rich compared to other places in Italy, such as Rome, Venice, Sardinia, and Amalfi,
Milan is known for:
Luxury fashion - home of Ermenegildo Zegna, Armani, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana just to name a few,
related, Fashion Week, alongside the other Big Four - Paris, New York, London;
Amazing party scene, specifically the Navigli district;
Aperitivo - the best thing ever! (What is it you ask? Approximately between 6pm and 10pm each night,
many of the city's bars lay out a spread of buffet-style, delicious snacks to go with your early evening drinks, free of charge!);
Campari Spritz - signature drink of the city.

If you do visit Milan, aside from doing and seeing things within the city,
may I suggest you make the most out of your trip by visiting nearby places including:
Verona - home of Shakespeare’s Juliet.
Modena - home of Ferrari, Maserati and Pagani.
Genoa - beautiful coastal sailing city.
Cinque Terre - UNESCO World Heritage Site with one of the most photo-worthy views.
Lake Como - recognized as the most spectacular of lakes, also a favourite wedding destination of celebrities across the world.
